We’re transitioning into the rainy season now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t slip in one or two last summer road trips. In the Philippines, the Toyota Innova is one of the best cars for road trips, so you might want to start packing your stuff in there! Other than your family or friends, and your outfits for your #OOTD, make sure you don’t forget the essentials! Getting the right stuff for your roadtrip makes sure that you are well-prepared for any situation that may come your way. Here’s a quick checklist to help you remember what you need to bring.
Phone with GPS
Even if you’ve been to the destination several times, it’s still important that you easily get help with directions so you do not get lost on your way. To make sure that you’re going the right way, it is important that you have at least one smartphone with a GPS app. GPS apps like Waze will ensure that you will not get lost, and that you’re able to find alternative routes when you need it.
First Aid Kit
Perhaps the most important item on this list, having a first aid kit in your car is a must to make sure that you are prepared in case of emergency situations. The first aid kit must contain materials like bandages, medicine, ointments and creams, and some emergency food supply.
A cooler
No summer road trip would be complete without a good stock of food and beverages. For beverages, they are best when served ice cold, especially during the hot summer season. To make sure that your drinks stay cool, it is recommended that you bring a small to medium cooler. Bigger, if there’s more of you. A cooler would keep your drinks chilled, ensuring that you can keep yourself refreshed throughout a hot day.
Sunscreen
Since summer road trips have you going to mostly outdoor destinations, keeping your skin protected from hot sun rays is important. Other than bringing along a cap and long sleeves (which you most likely won’t be wearing a lot due to the heat), always bring some sunscreen with you. Put it on every so often so you always stay safe from the sun’s rays.
Tool organizer
You’re not the only one doing all the work and getting tired on a road trip. You also need to ensure that your car stays in tip-top shape! By having a tool organizer, you can keep all the important tools you need in case you run into some car troubles. These tools include wrenches, jumper cables, and a hydraulic jack.
Summer road trips are among the most fun experiences you can have in your lifetime. Making sure that you pack up well for the long trip ahead ensures that you have the most comfortable and enjoyable summer road trip you can ever have.
