  1. What Is Covered?

BASIC WARRANTY COVERAGE

Toyota warrants that it will either repair or replace any Toyota- supplied part (limited thereto) that is found defective in material or workmanship under normal use within a period of 36 months or 100,000 kilometers whichever comes first.

  1. Separate Warranty Coverage

Tires

Tires are covered under a separate warranty provided by the tire manufacturer. CBU (imported) models with originally equipped tires, is covered for 36 months or 100,000 km., whichever comes first, based on tire wear and will be replaced with locally supplied tire in case of failure.

Battery

Battery is covered under a separate warranty provided by the battery manufacturer. CBU models with originally equipped battery is covered for 12 months or 20,000 km., whichever comes first, and will be replaced with locally supplied battery in case of failure.

Airconditioning System

Airconditioning system is covered under a separate warranty provided by the aircon manufacturer.

Audio System

Audio system is covered under a separate warranty provided by the audio manufacturer.

Surface Rust and Paint Defects

Surface rust and paint defects are covered under the Basic Warranty Coverage. For pick-up model’s surface rust and paint defects appearing on rear deck floor panels are covered for 12 months or 20,000km., whichever comes first.

  1. What Is Not Covered?

Factors beyond the Manufacturer’s Control

  1. Repair and adjustments required as a result of misuse, negligence, modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection, improper adjustments and accidents are not covered.
  2. Repairs by a non-authorized Toyota dealer or personnel, use of add-on parts/materials not supplied by Toyota and use of Non-Toyota genuine parts are not covered.
  3. Cosmetic or surface corrosion from stone chips or scratches in the paint is not covered.
  4. Damages and/or surfaces corrosion problems due to the environment such as acid rain, airborne fall-out salt, hail, windstorms, lightnings, floods, other acts of nature, acts of terrorism, war and the like are not covered.
  5. Damage arising from excessive use as a public utility franchised vehicle are not covered.

Maintenance is at Owner’s Expense

  1. The labor, parts or lubricant costs of maintenance services such as engine tune-up, cooling system and fuel system cleaning, emission adjustments, carbon and sludge removal, brake and clutch adjustments, wheel alignment, tire balancing, and drive belt adjustment is at owner’s expense.
  2. The replacement of normal maintenance parts such as spark plugs, distributor points, drive belts, lamp bulbs, fuses, filters, lubricants, worn brake pads and fluids at owner’s expense when they are replaced as a maintenance service ordinarily required with vehicle use.

Normal Noise, Vibration and Deterioration

Normal noise, vibration, wear, tear and deterioration such as discoloration, fading, deformation of blur and fabric discoloration is not covered.

Lack of Maintenance or Use of Wrong Fuel, Oil or Lubes

Repairs and adjustments caused by improper maintenance, lack of required maintenance, or the use of fluids other than the fluids recommended by Toyota.

Altered Mileage

Failure of a vehicle on which the odometer mileage has been altered or changed so that vehicle mileage cannot be readily ascertained is not covered.

Extra Expenses

Incidental or consequential damages such as telephone calls, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss and towing are not covered.

  • Express Maintenance (EM) service is a complete Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) made faster.

When will I bring my car to a Toyota Service Center for a kilometer check-up?
