COMPANY PROFILE

Like many successful enterprises, Toyota Quezon Avenue, Inc. began with humble beginnings. Originating from its predecessor, Celica Motor Sales Corporation, the company formally initiated its journey toward becoming a Toyota dealership by filing an application for a Toyota franchise with Toyota Motor Philippines on March 28, 1988.

After meeting all necessary requirements—including those related to organizational structure, capitalization, and physical facilities—Toyota Quezon Avenue, Inc. was granted a provisional appointment on December 16, 1988, officially becoming the first franchise dealer of Toyota Motor Philippines.

The company was registered as a private firm with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on December 20, 1988, under SEC Registration No. 15825. It was established with an authorized capital stock of ₱100,000,000.00, of which ₱25,000,000.00 was initially subscribed and paid-up.

Upon commencement of operations, Toyota Quezon Avenue, Inc. received an overwhelming response from the market. Within just a year, it had rapidly risen to become one of the most progressive dealerships in the automotive industry, earning a spot as 101st among the Top 1,000 Corporations in the Philippines.

From a modest team of 21 employees, the company has grown significantly, expanding both its workforce and facilities to meet increasing demands. This growth has been driven by sound management practices, strategic vision, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.

CORPORATE MILESTONE

Toyota Quezon Avenue swung into full operations. The first come off the line of Toyota Motor Philippines’ dealers. In the first year alone, Toyota Quezon Avenue, Inc. posted impressive gross sales of P1.069 Billion. Ranked 101st corporation in the Philippines with total vehicles sold of 3,168 units (Toyota Motor Philippines highest in 1989). In recognition of its achievements, Toyota Quezon Avenue received the coveted Dealer of the Year award, an honor being bestowed by Toyota Motor Philippines on Toyota Dealer that showed the most impressive performance for the year, in terms of vehicle sales, parts sales, service and finance and administration.

The Company acquired a reputation for professional excellence; technical expertise and quality service reflecting annual gross sales of P1.090 Billion, with total vehicles sold 3,280 units (still Toyota Motor Philippines’ highest in 1990). Toyota Quezon Avenue, Incorporated sold the single largest monthly sales volume of 450 units in June 1990, still unprecedented in the annals of automotive retailing in the country. It was also during this year, when Toyota Quezon Avenue, Incorporated won the first Toyota Service Skill Olympic. Generated 43% of the total genuine part sold nationwide by all Toyota Dealers in the Philippines and adjudged to the second time as Dealer of the Year.

Toyota Quezon Avenue, Incorporated won two (2) consecutive back-to-back Corolla sales promo contest and bagged the first runner up both in the second Toyota Service Skill Olympic and Dealer of the Year.

Achieved the highest sales on genuine parts within the network of Toyota.

Dealers in the country with total units sold of 3,163, fetching gross sales of P1.1 Billion. To edify more personnel efficiency a superb service that the company has been known for, training section was organized to continuously train and hone technician and other personnel.

Deemed second runner up in the Dealer of the Year competition and ranked likewise in the Service Skill Olympic.

The praxis of standard-setting performance led to achieving the first place in selling individual quota achievement award. The Company ranked second runner up in the 1994 Dealer of the Year competition. In the light wondrous feat, an expansion was realized. A five-storey stockyard was constructed. The service area was likewise expanded, to satisfy the volume of customers.

Parts Department received Departmental award. With customers in mind, two major customer service innovations were introduced: the Customer Handling Training Program, which focused not only how to handle customer concern but also how to deliver quality service that provides customer no reason to complain; supported by the improved showroom, customer’s lounge, coffee shop and billing area.

Champion in the First-Dealer Kaizen Competition (Participated by Parts Department Personnel).

As part of the Dealer of the Year awarding, Finance and Administration Department was the recipient of “Department Award of Excellence”. Second Runner-Up in the Service Skill Olympics Champion in the Second Inter-Dealer Kaizen Competition (Participated by Parts Department Personnel)

Among all dealers nationwide, a Marketing Professional from TQA was the recipient of the “MP of the Year” award, likewise, the “Service Advisor of the Year” award.

TQA Parts Department had the highest sale in genuine spare parts with market share of no less than twenty (20) percent of the total TMP sales.

October 18, 2004, TQA turned into a new image in terms of facility improvement such as bigger and spacious showroom, new parts and service offices, lounges equipped with comfortable sofas, television, computers (internet ready) and Wi-Fi. It has also its NESCAFE area that serves as coffee shop and canteen A kiddie corner is likewise provided for the children. Such contributed so much in the dealer customer satisfaction, achievement and performance.

TQA received the Toyota Dealer Success Program Award for Parts, Service, and Finance and Administration.

This year, TQA, became the recipient of same award as of 2005. This time, Vehicle Sales was included. Attaining the four departmental awards, TQA received the TOYOTA DEALER SUCCESS PROGRAM AWARD for attaining an overall excellent performance. TQA was also a recipient of Toyota Financial Services Dealer Award (3rd Runner-Up) for having a favorable number of sales in financing transactions.
