Background
Toyota is a Japanese transportation company originated in Aichi, Japan founded by Kiichiro Toyoda during 1937. Akio Toyoda is the current CEO and leads the business matters in Toyota whose main goal is to become a top leader in the global market of cars. The company currently has 4 other brands: Lexus, Scion, Ranz, and Hino where the company is also a stakeholder in other manufacturers such as Daihatsu, Yahama, Telsa, and Fuji Heavy Industries. Problems
Car competitors will emerge and try to beat the top players in the industry, but Toyota will still do its best to remain at the top. Recently the Brexit may affect Toyota’s British manufacturing team, but we’re not worried: Toyota has had plenty of experience with handling difficult problems. For example, in 2009 several Toyota vehicles experienced unintended acceleration. Toyota was on top of the situation and initiated the recalls to correct the issues.
Future
As of now, Toyota was able to develop several hybrid cars that are popular among car buyers. It has been receiving great reviews so far. As said by Mr. Toyoda, “For the last hundred years, gasoline engines have occupied the mainstream, but if you look forward a hundred years it will not just be gasoline, but diesel, electrics, plug-in hybrids and fuel cell vehicles.” Another aim is to create driverless cars, that will no longer require the driver to manually maneuver the vehicle.
For now Toyota aims to produce edgy and stylish designs with a twist in their internals. Surely, this company will not be leaving the car industry anytime soon but emerge with new and advanced car developments. Here’s a list of the near future car developments for 2017.
